ED FIELDS has been teaching the Cherokee language for over 23 years. In 2010 Cherokee Nation named him a Cherokee national Treasure. In 2022 he received the Cherokee Phoenix Seven Feathers Award. He teaches the Cherokee Nation online classes and immersion classes.

MARY RAE did not know any Cherokee when she began online classes in 2014. In 2018 she passed the Cherokee nation Cherokee Language Proficiency Test. In 2019 she passed the Cherokee Nation Teacher Certification Test. She creates Cherokee language learning materials and songs.
